Description: Tulsi, a low growing aromatic annual shrub, is regarded in India as a most Sacred plant known as Holy Basil. It is often cultivated as a pot plant. The name Tulsi means ‘matchless’ and the herb has important medicinal properties. The two varieties of Ocimum sanctum are known as Krishna, Rama. Vana Tulsi is O. gratissimum.

Actions: Anti diabetic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, adaptogen, immunostimulant, insecticidal.

Common uses: Tulsi essential rejuvenates the system quickly, acting to enhance immunity and metabolic functions. It reduces stress and helps control blood sugar levels. It can be used as an inhalation to help with upper respiratory tract problems. It is also beneficial for skin disorders and as a blood purifier. It is also said to repel mosquitoes.
