Actions: Alterative, analgesic , antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, cardiac, carminative, diaphoretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, diuretic, haemostatic, insecticide, stimulant, stomachic, vermifuge.

Common uses: Cinnamon bark is regarded as a strong antibacterial agent, useful for resisting infections and contagious diseases. It is known as an excellent stimulant to the gastrointestinal system giving relief to many of the common problems associated with the digestive system. Cinnamon bark works to support the nervous system particularly in recovery from debilitated devitalized conditions and depression.

Methods of use: Inhalation – diffuser, oil vaporiser.

Cautions: Severe skin irritant and sensitizer. Contraindicated during pregnancy.

Blends well with: Cardamon, orange, nutmeg, anise, fennel, trifolia.
